Keep on asking and you will receive what you ask for. Keep on seeking and you will find. Keep on knocking and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks, receives. Everyone who seeks finds. And to everyone who knocks the door will be opened. (Matthew 7:7-8)
Luke 11:11-13 You men who are fathers - if your son asks for bread, do you give him a stone? If he asks for fish, do you give him a snake? If he asks for an egg do you give him a scorpion? (Of course not!) And if even sinful persons like yourselves give children what they need, don't you realise that your heavenly Father will do at least as much, and give the Holy Spirit to those who ask for him?
God has forgiven us our sins, he's wiped the slate clean. He's removed them from us as far as the east is from the west. He does not constantly accuse us or remain angry forever. (Ps 103)
Just as the ocean waves wash over the sand and make it smooth and clean, God's love washes over us and wipes us clean.
Mthw 6: 28-30 And why worry about your clothes? Look at the lillies of the field! They don't worry about theirs. Yet King Solomon in all his glory was not clothed as beautiful as they. And if God cares so wonderfully for flowers that are here today and gone tomorrow, won't he more surely care for you, O men of little faith?
God's love is like a fortress, we just need to run into it and learn to live in it. It's a place of safety and security. There are no breaches in the walls, the enemy can't get in, this love is indestructable. We need to recognise that we are can live and rest in his love and this place of security moment by moment.
God's love is a like a spoon of warm golden syrup that you would spoon over your pancakes. The words, 'a spoon full of sugar help the medicine got down' came to mind. Sometimes God needs to give us a dose of medicine, some discipline, but he does this in love and his love is sweet. It helps us to swallow our pride.
God's love is endless. All things are possible through him who strengthens us. We have endless possibilities, but we limit ourselves. Creativity without limitations.
God's love is endless. It's like a large lake you keep on swimming but never reach the shore, you keep on sailing but you never reach the shore. It goes on forever. Just as the far as the east is from the west, he's removed my sin, that distance is immeasurable and so is his love.
God's love is like jumping into a big pile of soft fluffy feathers, there's no harshness, it's a place of safety, a place of warmth, a place of gentleness. His love is patient, his love is kind.
